We are thrilled to announce that this Thursday, we’re launching a brand-new miniseries, “The Shero Universe,” on Instagram and YouTube!

This short-form docuseries is our way of inviting you into the world of Shero Comics — showing how it all began, evolved, and flourished. From the colorful childhood in the ’80s, where fashion and creativity shaped our Shero CEO Shequeta L. Smith’s imagination, to the unexpected twists of an infamous trip to South Korea with a religious cult, and finally to the present day as we celebrate our 10th comic book release, Young Grandmaster Choi II, this series takes you behind the scenes of our journey and sets the stage for our upcoming feature-length documentary of the same name, which promises a deeper dive into the inspiring story behind the company and a rare exploration of the history of Black women in comics.
